To the top of South Africa...

Finishing my hike, I left the central Berg and drove  250km south to the southern Drakenbergs and the famous Sani Pass.  It has the highest pub Africa at roughly 10,000 ft.  Along the way, I saw various baboons and inquired

'Why aren't you guys at the Cape of Good Hope harassing middle aged female tourists?'

No answer from the surly baboon crowd.

The Sani Pass is the highest road in SA- you really cannot practically hike the pass, as I discovered- and you must hire a guide to take you there in a rugged 4x4 as the road is very, very rough.  More baboons along the way, of course.  Those guys are everywhere...

On the way to the pass saw some Elands (African antelope) and some interesting birds-

Pass is rainy this time of year, but we got lucky and it cleared some as we went-

The scenery included the so called 12 Apostles, which I thought were in Australia.  There were also 12 Apostles in Cape Town... it seems like Germans and baboons, those guys are everywhere (I thought there were only 9 of them anyway)-

Looking up at the pass-

And then down from it had these interesting undulations-
