Francais, Casinos, and Penguins- Biking in Brittany

As usual, I had no difficulty using my French skills when biking in Brittany to identify local institutions-

But I didn't see any poisson nearby for some reason (the only other word I know in French).

This segment of the KV of the TdF took me through the country side of Brittany from the medieval city of Dinan to the port city of Dinant on the coast (I think adding a 't' in France means you are now a coastal city), across from the walled city of St Malo-

Who do these people in Dinant think they are fooling with the penguin sign?  Everyone knows the only penguins in the northern hemisphere are hanging about in the Galapagoes, about 10' north of the equator-

Don't kid yourself, there were some monstrous hills on this segment where the grade was vicious-

I think this segment is usually one of the mountain stages on the traditional Tour de France.

As an inveterate gambler, I naturally headed here on arrival in Dinant-

Strange, but I didn't know they had a casino in Dinant.  Of course, before renting the bike, I had never actually heard of Dinant either.

For some reason, this scene reminded me of Beau-Geste-
